For my baby’s first birthday, we did a joint party with his cousin out in the country. The theme was BE WILD >> modern adventurers. It was simple black and white, with some greenery brought in through plants. We have a vintage high chair that I purchased for $3 at the Habitat for Humanity ReStore. I made a simple bunting with white chalk on black paper and then attached it with washi tape. I designed some signs and made wooden “poster-style” hangers. The big black “1” is hand drawn chalk on black handmade paper.
I also designed some fun modern adventurer temporary tattoos and printed them up on tattoo paper. The kids and adults loved them! I thought you might like them too, so I made a FREE printable download. The tattoo paper comes with instructions on printing at home on your inkjet printer. Once you have them printed, just cut them out with scissors. The final printed product will be reversed, but once you apply the tattoos will appear correctly!
